This Policy is intended to provide transparent information about our privacy practices. It does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law. Where a specific notice presented at the time of collection differs from this general Policy, the more specific notice will apply to that activity.
Simply Innovative Consulting LLC is a learning strategy, learning technology, AI enablement, workforce learning, and consulting company based in Illinois, United States.
This Policy applies to personal information we collect or process through:

When SIC processes personal information solely on behalf of a client under a contract, the client may be the controller or business responsible for deciding how the information is used. In those circumstances, the client’s privacy terms may apply in addition to our contractual obligations

SIC may identify and contact individuals in a professional or business capacity when we reasonably believe our services, resources, or expertise may be relevant to their organization or role.
For this purpose, we may use business contact information obtained directly from you or from public professional sources, company websites, professional networking platforms, business directories, referrals, events, associations, or reputable third-party business information providers. Information may include your
name, professional title, company, business email address, business telephone number, professional profile information, and information relevant to your organization or responsibilities.
Commercial email sent by or on behalf of SIC is intended to comply with applicable laws, including the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. We use accurate sender information and subject lines, provide required sender identification and a valid postal address in commercial messages, provide a clear method to opt out, and honor valid opt-out requests within the time required by law.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we may rely on legitimate interests for relevant business-to-business outreach when the required balancing test supports that basis. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will obtain consent before sending the relevant communication. You may object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop using your personal information for that purpose.
We may retain a limited suppression record after an opt-out so that we can honor your request and avoid adding you back to future marketing campaigns. Suppression information is used only for compliance and preference management.
We distinguish between service or relationship communications and marketing communications.
• Service or relationship communications may include responses to your inquiry, meeting confirmations, information you requested, assessment results, contract or project communications, invoices, or security notices.
• Marketing communications may include newsletters, thought leadership, event announcements, service information, promotional messages, or other business-development communications.
You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending non-marketing communications that are necessary to respond to you, provide requested services, administer an existing relationship, or comply with law
SIC may maintain pages, profiles, and accounts on third-party social media and professional networking platforms. We may also use social media advertising, sponsored content, lead-generation forms, audience tools, and campaign analytics.
When you interact with our social media content, advertisements, or lead forms, we may receive information made available by you or the platform, such as your name, professional profile information, company, contact details, comments, reactions, messages, lead-form responses, campaign source, and engagement information. Your interactions with a social media platform are also governed by that platform’s privacy policy and settings.
We may use cookies, pixels, tags, or similar technologies provided by analytics or advertising partners to measure campaigns, understand website visits, create audiences, or deliver more relevant advertising where permitted by law. Where these activities are treated as targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information under applicable law, we will provide the required disclosures and opt-out mechanisms.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose online identifiers or activity information to advertising or analytics partners when those tools are enabled. Depending on the law that applies, this activity may be considered "sharing," "sale," or processing for targeted advertising even when no money changes hands.
SIC may offer surveys, assessments, health checks, readiness tools, benchmarking tools, and similar resources to help individuals and organizations evaluate needs, practices, capabilities, technology, or opportunities for improvement.
Unless we clearly tell you otherwise when you begin a specific tool, detailed question-level responses are used to calculate or provide your results but are not stored by SIC as identifiable individual responses. We may collect registration information such as your first name, last name, email address, optional organization name, completion date, and high-level scores or category-level results.
For our current web-based assessment and health-check tools, identifiable registration and high-level score information is generally retained for up to 30 days after completion and then deleted. If a different retention period or data practice applies to a future tool, we will disclose that before or at the time the information is collected.
We may retain anonymous or aggregated results after identifying information has been removed. We may use anonymous information to improve our tools, identify trends, develop benchmarks, and inform our services. Anonymous data will not contain your name, email address, organization, or another identifier intended to reconnect the results to you.
If you separately choose to allow follow-up, SIC may contact you about your results, feedback, or possible next steps as described when you provide permission. Completing a survey, assessment, or health check does not automatically subscribe you to newsletters or ongoing marketing communications.
Our website and online tools may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used to:
• operate essential website features and maintain security;
• remember preferences and improve functionality;
• understand website usage and performance through analytics;
• measure marketing campaigns and referrals; and
• support advertising or audience measurement where enabled and permitted.
We may use services such as Google Analytics and other analytics or advertising tools. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or tracking technologies, we will seek that consent before activating them. You may also control cookies through your browser and any cookie-preference tools we make available.
Where required by applicable law, we will honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms, such as Global Privacy Control, for processing that qualifies as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising opt-out request.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or another law requires a legal basis for processing, SIC may rely on one or more of the following:
• Consent, when you have affirmatively agreed to a specific use and the law requires or permits consent as the legal basis.
• Contract or pre-contractual steps, when processing is necessary to provide services, respond to a request related to a potential engagement, or perform an agreement.
• Legal obligation, when we must process information to comply with law, regulation, tax, accounting, or lawful requests.
• Legitimate interests, when processing is necessary for a legitimate business purpose and those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests. Examples may include relevant B2B relationship development, responding to professional inquiries, website security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and limited analytics.
• Other legal bases available under applicable law when appropriate.
Where we rely on legitimate interests for direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time. Where we obtained your professional contact information from another source and applicable law requires additional transparency, we will provide the required information within the applicable period, including at or before the first direct-marketing communication when required.
We do not disclose personal information except as described in this Policy, as directed by you, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. We may disclose personal information to:
• Service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as website and application hosting, database services, email delivery, CRM and marketing tools, scheduling platforms, analytics providers, payment processors, professional advisers, security providers, and IT support.
• Business partners or subcontractors when necessary to support a client engagement or jointly deliver a service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and contractual protections.
• Social media, analytics, and advertising providers when we use their platforms, pixels, tags, lead forms, or campaign tools, subject to applicable consent and opt out requirements.
• Government authorities, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or legal claims.
• A potential buyer, successor, or other party in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
Service providers are authorized to process personal information only for the services they provide to us and are expected to protect the information appropriately.
SIC does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Some U.S. state privacy laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly and may treat disclosures of online identifiers or activity information to advertising or analytics partners as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. If SIC engages in activity that is covered by such a law and the law applies to SIC, we will provide the required notice and a method to opt out, including recognition of applicable universal opt-out signals when required.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain business and legal records, to honor privacy choices, or as required by law. Our general retention approach is summarized below.
Survey, assessment, and health-check identifiable data
Business-development and prospect records
Marketing consent and suppression records
Client, contract, billing, and transaction records
Website logs and security records
Analytics and advertising data
Social media interactions
Generally up to 30 days after completion unless otherwise disclosed
Generally up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction
For as long as reasonably necessary to document and honor the choice
For the engagement and generally up to 7 years afterward, or longer if legally required
Generally up to 12 months, unless needed longer for security or legal reasons
According to our configuration and the
applicable provider settings
As available on the platform or until
removed by you, the platform, or SIC
Supports result delivery and permitted follow-up; anonymous aggregate data may be retained after de-identification.
Supports relevant B2B outreach and relationship development; records may be removed sooner if no longer needed or if required by law.
We may retain a minimal suppression record so an opt-out is not accidentally reversed
Supports service delivery, tax, accounting, contractual, audit, and legal obligations.
Supports security, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and system integrity.
Retention may vary by tool; where required, consent and opt-out controls apply.
Platform retention practices also apply.
Retention periods may be extended when reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; investigate security incidents; comply with legal holds; or satisfy other legal or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it
SIC uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. These safeguards are intended to reflect the nature of the information, the risks involved, and applicable legal requirements, including Illinois requirements for reasonable security measures.
No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a data incident triggers notification obligations under applicable law, we will provide the required notices and take appropriate steps to address the incident.
SIC is based in the United States, and personal information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies to an international transfer, we will use an appropriate transfer mechanism when required, such as an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism
EEA, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions
Depending on the law that applies, you may have the right to:
• request access to personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request deletion of personal information in appropriate circumstances;
• request restriction of processing;
• receive certain information in a portable format;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• object at any time to processing for direct marketing;
• withdraw consent at any time when processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal; and
• lodge a complaint with an applicable data-protection authority.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, the law that applies to SIC, and applicable exemptions, you may have rights such as access, confirmation, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Some laws also provide a right to appeal a denied privacy request and a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, if SIC meets the law’s applicability thresholds. These rights may include the rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive non-discriminatory treatment. Colorado and other state laws may provide similar rights when their applicability thresholds are met.
If a U.S. state law requiring recognition of a universal opt-out mechanism applies to SIC and the relevant processing, we will honor qualifying signals such as Global Privacy Control as required.
To exercise a privacy right, object to direct marketing, withdraw consent, or ask a question about this Policy, contact us using the information in Section 21 below.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will use information provided for verification only as reasonably necessary to verify and process the request. If applicable law allows an authorized agent to act for you, we may request proof of the agent’s authority and may also ask you to verify your identity directly.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If a law gives you a right to appeal our decision on a request, we will provide information about how to submit that appeal.
Our website, consulting services, marketing, surveys, assessments, and health checks are intended for adults and business professionals. They are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through these services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
In client engagements, SIC may receive information that is confidential to a client or that contains personal information about the client’s employees, customers, learners, or other individuals. Our handling of that information is also governed by the applicable contract, statement of work, confidentiality obligations, data- processing terms, and client instructions.
When SIC acts as a processor or service provider on behalf of a client, we process personal information only for the purposes authorized by that client and as otherwise permitted by law
Our website and communications may contain links to third-party websites, social networks, scheduling services, payment services, or other platforms that SIC does not control. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing information to them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy on our website and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide that notice in an appropriate manner.
